Welcome to the AIA San Joaquin/CSI Fresno Job Blog

Welcome. We understand the tremendous hardships and challenges that our peers face during this difficult economic time. In an effort to better serve the members of the built community, AIA San Joaquin and CSI Fresno has created the "Job Blog".
You can subscribe to this blog to receive information on who is hiring, who is looking, and what you can do to help. The blog is open to members and nonmembers who are looking for qualified individuals, or are looking for a position. Our goal is to make this an interactive tool where those "in the know" can post job openings to the blog, where job seekers can post their information, and members of the built community can comment on the status of available jobs in our area.
There is no charge to post to this blog. If you are looking to hire please email your post to ckalashian@pesc.com, please include all relevant position information, as well as how applicants can submit for the position. If you are an individual looking for a job please submit your information to ckalashian@pesc.com and please limit your submission to 400 words. Keep in mind that this is a public blog, so any information you provide will be made public. Comments to the blog are monitored for content, so please use your best judgement when commenting on a post.
We hope this tool helps in some way to support those who support our industry. Thank you, and best wishes.

  3. At this time, I would like to introduce myself and my company. We have been providing successful consulting expertise to architectural firms for more than ten years, focusing primarily on projects in and around the San Francisco, Sacramento and Reno areas. Typically, the work involves full project responsibility and consultant coordination for the development of construction documents from start to finish, from the standpoint of a fixed fee agreement determined from the scope of work presented to us. Approximately once every month, or more often as required, I travel to meet with the architects and discuss the project’s progress and continuing development. This, along with the efficient technology of e-mail and fax, allows for constant communication and awareness between both parties.

Design Significance Architecture is an architectural firm in Reno, Nevada specializing in architectural consultation and large-scale commercial and residential projects and was established in 1998 by Michael Trible. After working for more than 20 years on innumerable projects as an employee, Mr. Trible established the firm in order to have more quality control on the design and implementation of the construction documents for the buildings the firm contracts for. He graduated with a bachelor of architecture degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 1978, and is licensed in Washington, Nevada and Virginia. Mr. Trible is also NCARB certified and a member of ICC, the International Code Council. With his more than 30 years of experience in all phases of architecture, from planning to construction administration, along with a part time and full time staff, including a licensed residential designer, we believe there is no project or scope we cannot handle efficiently and productively.

The firm has had cumulative experience with countless numbers of building types, occupancies, and building uses. With all of our projects, we are proud of our record of having never missed a deadline, and have managed each to an effective level of budgetary accuracy. Our experience allows us to work seamlessly and smoothly with all of our consultants, resulting in a well managed and coordinated project. The firm also has an excellent reputation for being extremely detail oriented, and has developed an extensive detail library, with over 1,200 details at our disposal. The office is equipped with Microsoft Publisher, Excel, Outlook, Word, and Works programs, Autocad Desktop 3.3, and full computer fax and e-mail capability, with the latest computer technology including Internet access to literally thousands of building products. Additionally, it has multi-faceted scanning and printing ability, and we have just upgraded to Autocad 2008. All programs are operable in both black & white and color.

I would appreciate an opportunity to work with you on your projects. Design Significance Architecture is a tough, detail oriented, well experienced, thorough firm that will help you take your projects successfully from start to finish. Please contact me at the address or telephone number above, by fax, or through e-mail if you prefer, should you have any questions. You may also reach me on my cell phone, which is 775-544-1376. I am enclosing some references for your review; please feel free to contact any one of these sources. Additionally, I am enclosing a list of our completed and most current projects. Note that the client is noted in bold prior to the project listing. Lastly, a cumulative list of projects for Mr. Trible prior to establishing Design Significance Architecture is attached. His involvement with these projects was as a project architect or a project manager while with another firm. All projects involved primary project responsibility and consultant coordination.
